Raising Wonders Northwest is just getting started.
We are actively looking for passionate, community-minded individuals to join our founding board of directors and help shape the future of this organization. We’re also seeking volunteer mentors, as well as day-of support for events.
If you are interested in joining our team, send us your resume and a brief note about why you’d like to get involved.

Kat Salvo, Founder
Board Chair & Executive Director
Raising Wonders was founded in 2026 by Kat Salvo- a mom on a mission. Like so many parents, Kat knows firsthand that raising a child is one of life’s greatest joys, and one of its greatest expenses. Inspired by her own son, she set out to build a community where families come together to create meaningful experiences for their children.

TBD – Director, Finance & Fundraising
The Director, Finance & Fundraising oversees the financial health of Raising Wonders Northwest, ensuring accurate record keeping, responsible stewardship of donated funds, and compliance with all financial reporting requirements. They present financial updates at quarterly board meetings, supports annual budget planning, and helps build the financial credibility that allows us to serve more families.
Beyond the numbers, they plays an active role in fueling the mission through fundraising. This includes identifying grant opportunities, supporting donor outreach, helping develop fundraising strategies, and working alongside the board to build a sustainable financial future for Raising Wonders Northwest. The ideal candidate brings a background in accounting, finance, or business, paired with an enthusiasm for connecting people to causes they believe in.
This is a volunteer position with a big impact- for someone who understands that behind every free family event is a community of supporters who made it possible.

TBD – Director, Operations & Community
The Director, Operations & Community plays a vital and dynamic role at the heart of Raising Wonders Northwest, keeping the organization both organized and deeply connected to the community it serves. On the administrative side, they maintain official records, documents board meeting minutes, ensures proper notice of meetings, and supports the day-to-day organizational needs of the board.
Beyond the operations, this role is about people. The Director, Operations & Community serves as a community connector- actively seeking out event opportunities, building relationships with local businesses, venues, and organizations, and helping identify partnerships that bring our mission to life. From sourcing locations for free family events to coordinating logistics and rallying volunteers, they help turn ideas into experiences that our Raising Wonders families will never forget.
This is a volunteer role for someone who is organized, outgoing, and genuinely passionate about building community. If you love bringing people together and want to make a real difference in the lives of Pacific Northwest families, we’d love to have you at the table.

Mentors
A mentor at Raising Wonders Northwest walks alongside working moms navigating the beautiful, complicated balance of career and family. Through one-on-one conversations and ongoing support, mentors offer guidance on career development, goal setting, and professional growth- while honoring the very real demands of motherhood.
Whether a mom is re-entering the workforce, pursuing a promotion, building a business, or simply trying to find her footing, a Raising Wonders mentor meets her exactly where she is. Mentors share their own experiences, help identify opportunities, connect moms to resources, and offer the kind of encouragement that only comes from someone who truly understands the juggle.
At Raising Wonders Northwest, we believe that when moms thrive, families thrive- and mentorship is one of the most powerful ways we invest in that belief.
